A turning point in history
The Great Depression had such a strong impact on not only America but all around the world. America had become one of the most powerful countries in the world. Developing new technology and to add to it the stock market. The place where someone could have put just a little amount of money and be able to end up having way more than they expected, ultimately having a growing confidence in this market. Even with all the warnings from different people that the stock market was going to crash the people in the New York Exchange Center did not listen because of their overwhelming since of confidence and pride in the market it blinded their eyes to see the reality. The reality was the prices for the stock market was far to high and raising rapidly but overly zealous investors put their faith in it and did not look back. Even before the stock market and its dilemma there America had already started having mini series of depressions that affected people depending on the region. Banks were loaning money to people to buy houses and cars and all the other materialistic aspect that was occurring Everyone was looking through rose colored glass feeling invincible and living in the limelight of it all. This is why it took such a toll on people; The series of events that had occurred precedent of the depression it was all to lead up to the day the stock market crashed. Everyone was so busy with all the other activities that had the nation in a enthusiastic state and was unable to see the underlining problem creeping up on them. That is the reason why it was such a burdensome problem. People were in a frenzy trying to take their money out of the banks but were sadly coming to face with an appalling and cruel realization that it was to late. This period of time was a turning point because people began to learn how to use their money wisely and not to spend it just because they were bored. They had no choice but to deal with life and to make do with what they had and at the end survivors of the great depression never forgot that time and learned to never waste money again.
