What other problems were going during the great depression?
In Germany, they were going through a crisis as well also including money and problems like that. They had an inflation that was quickly rising with every month that went by. The inflation was not apparent in the 1920's but it began showing up in the year 1921.Thereafter, slowly got worse and worse until 1923 where during the second half of the year prices were rising so high it was increasing more than five fold each week. During 1920 and early 1921 the prices were a bit mixed. The prices of food was increasing, but the price of dollars in terms of marks (the money used in Germany) was dropping. However the inflation the inflation was unmistakable in the upcoming years. From the middle of 1922 to the middle of 1923 prices increased by over 100 times. By 1924 the inflation had radically redistributed the wealth of Germany. The effect that the inflation had on Germany was that the part of society that was hit the most was most likely the middle class. The poor did not have much to lose and the rich were often able to get their money into forms not affected by the inflation. The only things that held value was wealth in foreign bank accounts, gold and precious metals, and land maintained value.
